What To See And Do in Cinque Terre
It is hard to compete with the natural beauty of Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre has such a lovely calmness. It may be the sound of the waves or the fresh, crisp air, but it is definitely a piece of paradise. We stayed in Monterosso al Mare, so I will be concentrating on that village.
- Soak in the sun and crash in the waves on both beaches - Old Town and New town
- Walk the streets filled with the most treasured shops and restaurants
- Hike from one village of Cinque Terre to the next. If you are feeling brave enough, hike all of them
- Take the ferry boat to each of the villages
- Leisurely walk each of the villages
What the Kids Will Love in
Cinque Terre
All of the above and:
- Playing with and collecting rocks on the beach.
- Splashing in the warm water
- Savoring a strawberry daiquiri or pina colada (non alcoholic of course) at the beach side restaurant
- Picking out paper cones full of fried fresh fish for lunch on the beach
- Playing at the wonderful playgrounds on all of the villages- even better, meeting local kids to play with at the parks
- Walking the shops in the villages with beautifully tiny colored glass sculptures and lemon flavored treats
