Venice - 3 day Sample Itinerary
Venice is like no other place in the world. No cars, no trucks, no roads, just pathways and bridges connecting beautiful piazzas. 2-3 full days is plenty of time to get to know Venice.
Day 1 - Arrive in Venice and pause only to drop off your bags at your hotel room. Venice awaits! Spend the day walking through the maze of canals, passages, bridges, and piazzas. Try to find a path that will lead you to Piazza San Marco. Walk around the Piazza, listening the string trios playing while the birds dive in and out of the Piazza. If the line is short, visit the Basilica San Marco or take the elevator to the top of Campanile to take in the incredible views of the city and the lagoon. Head away from the Piazza for dinner on a hidden side street.
Day 2 – Spend day two touring Venice. We recommend The Venice Tour for kids by Pinocchio Tours

This tour will take you to St. Mark’s Square, to the Bridge of Sighs, then on to the colorful marketplaces just over the famous Rialto Bridge. You will also visit the Campo San Bartolomeo, you’ll see the Marco Polo House, Casanova’s haunts, beautiful churches and magnificent works of art. You will amazed by this city built on water and its creative modes of transport. Spend the rest of your day going back to some of these wonderful places on your tour and see the little things that you may have missed before.
Day 3 – Board the boat to Murano. Spend the morning on the Island of Murano watching the glassblowers create the most incredible creations made from glass. Watch the masters and their apprentices make dinner wear, sculptures, or even chandeliers. Walk the streets of Murano to see all of the little shops that are filled with all the glass art. Head back to Venice and spend the rest of the day touring the unimaginable Doge’s Palace. Room after room of art and ancient weapons, gold ceilings, and prisons. End your last evening in Venice with a gondola ride around the lagoon!
